Platform Overview

The sortation intelligence layer for mid-size FCs

Sortwyre sits between your WES control layer and your WMS reporting layer — ingesting sort events in real time and surfacing PPH, induct rates, and chute metrics your ops team can act on.

Data ingestion

Reads from your existing data streams

No new sensors, no sorter control changes, no WES modifications. Sortwyre taps into the event streams your WES and WMS already generate.

OPC UA

Read-only tap on WES device data — conveyor PLCs, induction zone metrics, sorter telemetry. No write commands issued.

MQTT

Subscribe to sort event topics from WES brokers. Low-latency, sub-second event ingestion for divert, no-read, and recirc events.

REST

Pull WMS order data, wave schedules, and shipment events via standard REST endpoints from SAP EWM, Manhattan Active, or Blue Yonder.

Real-time analytics

What ops teams see in the dashboard

Sortwyre aggregates raw sort events into the metrics that matter for throughput management — visible within seconds of ingestion.

Per-Lane PPH

Pieces-per-hour broken down by individual induction lane, updated every 30 seconds. Imbalance threshold alerts when any lane drops more than 15% below target.

Chute Fill Rate

Fill percentage per chute, dwell time trend, and recirc event count. Color-coded grid view for 40–120 chute configurations. Alert thresholds configurable per chute group.

Wave Plan vs. Actual

Real-time comparison of planned induct rate vs. actual rate per wave. Carrier window countdown. Early warning when a wave is tracking to miss the cut-off time.

No-Read & Mis-Sort Tracking

No-read events by scan point and label type. Mis-sort rate per chute zone. Feedback loop showing which induction lanes generate highest no-read rates.

Platform capabilities

Induction Balancing

Monitor and rebalance induction lane load before throughput drops. Works with 2–12 lane configurations.

Chute Utilization

Per-chute fill rate, dwell time, and recirc events tracked in real time. Keeps sort yield above target.

Waveplan Optimization

Plan-vs-actual wave tracking with carrier window countdown. Act before the window closes.

Architecture

How Sortwyre deploys

Sortwyre deploys as an on-premises agent or private-cloud connector. No public inbound ports to your OT network. No PLC write commands.
