Integrations
Works with the WMS and WES you already run
Sortwyre reads sort events, WMS order flows, and WES status via OPC UA, MQTT, or REST. Supported connectors below.
Supported connectors
Integration partners
Listed as integration partners — these are the systems Sortwyre connects to for data ingestion. They are not customers.
SAP EWM
REST / RFC
Order-level inbound feed; wave event push. Connects to SAP Extended Warehouse Management for order flow and wave release data.
Manhattan Active WMS
REST
Shipment event stream; inbound order quantity. Real-time order management events via Manhattan's API layer.
Blue Yonder WMS
REST / Event Queue
Fulfillment order events; SKU velocity data. Blue Yonder Luminate fulfillment event subscription.
Honeywell Momentum WES
OPC UA
Sort event stream; device status; PPH telemetry. Read-only OPC UA tap on Momentum WES data server. No write commands to sorter control.
Dematic iQ
OPC UA / MQTT
Conveyor PLC data; induction zone metrics. Dematic iQ WES OPC UA server integration for sorter and conveyor telemetry.
6 River Systems WES
REST / MQTT
Pick-wave coordination; sortation event feed. 6RS fulfillment orchestration event stream via REST and MQTT connector.
Connectivity protocols
How Sortwyre connects
Sortwyre deploys as an on-premises agent or private-cloud connector. All data paths are read-only. No new inbound ports required on your OT network.
OPC UA
Industrial standard for WES device data. Read-only client connection to existing OPC UA servers in Honeywell Momentum and Dematic iQ WES platforms.
MQTT
Subscribe-only connection to WES MQTT brokers. Receives sort event topics — divert events, scan events, recirc events — in real time without modifying broker configuration.
REST
Standard HTTP/REST pull from WMS APIs. Polling interval configurable per system. Supports OAuth2, API key, and SAML authentication depending on WMS vendor.
Deployment
How a pilot deployment works
Sortwyre pilot deployments are scoped to a single sort zone and typically completed in under 6 weeks from kickoff to live dashboard.
Week 1–2: Scope and connectivity
Integration scoping call with your WMS and WES admin teams. Identify OPC UA endpoints, MQTT topics, or REST endpoints. Network segmentation review with your IT/OT team.
Week 3–4: Agent deployment
Sortwyre agent installed on your OT-DMZ server or private cloud environment. Data ingestion validated against live sort events. PPH calculations verified against your WES HMI baseline.
Week 5–6: Dashboard and alerts
Dashboard configured for your chute layout. Alert thresholds set with your shift supervisors. First week of live operation with daily check-in from Sortwyre solutions engineer.
Post-pilot: expansion scoping
After 4–6 weeks of pilot data, review throughput impact with ops team. Scope expansion to additional sort zones or facilities based on pilot results.
Run a throughput pilot in your FC
Sortwyre connects to your WMS/WES in under 6 weeks. No hardware installation, no conveyor downtime. Start with one sort zone.
